50 Shades of Opinions

Hey guys! Alright so long story short, I've finally decided to right about the mass controversy over the "50 Shades Of Grey" Trilogy, now that the movie is coming out. So here we go...

Honestly, I've read all the books and I didn't find them to all that bad. We must all keep in mind the specific genre it is. It is erotica people. It's supposed to have sex in it. Don't like, don't read. That simple. Now about the whole "Oh that is so wrong". The kink expressed in the book is a kink many people share and I don't see a problem with it, as long as it is consensual. Let us all remember that Anastasia, the main character in the book, WILLINGLY went along with everything Christian did, intill the end. She didn't like something, she left.

I was talking to my mother about it and she expressed the belief that it was whips and chains one page after another untill I explained that actually, the only time they ever had a harsh touch was at the very end when she walked out on him. That descion leads us to the next books of the trilogy where Christian learns to change his ways for the woman he loves.

All in all, the plot line is good considering the genre it was meant to be. The writing itself? Eh, I've read better Fan Fiction by virgins, so yes I'll give you that. But the fact that so many people can criticize this book when it has sold so many copies and, lets be honest, turned on about 80% of them at least, is ridiculous. This is just an issue of people not being comfortable in admitting their own kinks.

Now, with 50 Shades of Grey, many people have been making parody books. I discovered this yesterday when I found out about "50 Shades Of Alice Through the Looking Glass" ....this book was actually the second in the series but it was... eye opening. If you looking for a book to expand your horizons, look no further. I'll say it's pretty promiscuous.

So in that retrospect... 50 Shades of Alice is even worse than the original. And erotica is nothing new, so I don't understand why this certain book is getting all the crap.... that doesn't make sense. There are TONS of books out there just like it. Look up "Chuck Tingle" I freakin dare you.

You wanna talk about something weird? Yeah, let's talk about Chuck Tingle.

New Obsessions

Alright guys, I wanna share my "Weekly Obsessions" with you guys. (hahaha yeah just like superfruit) Anyways...

-Sledgehammer
-New skull backpack
-Midsummer's night dream

So first of all, I've become addicted to a new song called "Sledgehammer". At first I didn't like the song but it totally grew on me. It was meaningful without being deep or depressing with a fun flirty twist. :D

My mother bought me a new backpack and it's so adorable. It's one of those draw string with clasps? I don't know what the style is called but they are becoming increasingly popular. Again, i hated them just for that. Now that I have one though, I really appreciate the design. It's simple but has enough room to hold my essentials. What I love about it most though is it's pattern. it's a simple off-white color with lots of skull and crossbones on it.... IT IS SO ADORABLE I LOVE IT!!!!

Lastly, I've become obsessed with one of Shakespeare' classics. I read Midsummer Night's Dream in 8th grade and appreciated it but I really get it after reading it now. I decided to audition for a production our community theatre is running and I have to prepare a monologue and 16 bars of a song. I decided I'd go the extra mile and try memorizing a Shakespeare monologue. Remembering that I've read Midsummer Night's Dream before, I looked for one there and I have decided on Helena's monologue in Act 3 Scene 2 where she begins "Oh spite! Oh hell! I see you all are bent!" (hehehe I typed that from memory too). I've already memorized 4/17 lines and I only started last night... which is a good thing because the auditions are in two weeks! But, I got to reading the rest of the play along with the monologue and I really understand the words now and have come to appreciate it much more.

Let's just hope all this new found understanding will help me in the audition!!!
Wish me luck guys!

Sneaky People

Hey guys! So i've ended up in an awkward situation. You see, I've admitted to one of my friends that I like him and he admitted he likes me but I decided I don't wanna date him because he recently broke up with one of my friends.

I can't bring myself to betray a friend like that for my own romantic feelings, I'll probably get over it soon anyways.

In the meantime however, he's very sneaky in the way that he gets to be around me and hug me and other things like liking my neck and touching me.

It feels like a forbidden affair.

I'm in deep shit guys, cast a life line for me!!!!
